I have a well drilled to 400″ and get 220v 1.5 hp engine for the pump. I want to buy a backup generator in case HP extended the powers outages .1=746 W, so that you need at least 1120 watts to run 1.5 hp engine.
I received a new well put in about 3 years ago. This is down approximately 80 feet, and a guy who put it in shows that the water level was about 65 feet at the time (giving me 15 feet of water in the well).
I have no information about the depth of the foot valve, but well is 175 feet deep. My question is if the pump is rated to 90 feet deep, what would happen if you will exceed the depth?
